A Free Tire Collection Event is being held at the Seminole County Landfill Saturday, July 16, on Osceola Road. This event offers residential households free disposal of up to 10 tires. The events are offered as a means to alleviate illegal dumping of tires and help prevent mosquitoes. Seminole County Animal Services is joining other shelters nationwide to help celebrate Petfinder's 15th birthday. Thanks to the Petfinder Web site, www.seminolecountyadoptions.petfinder.com, Animal Services has adopted out thousands of animals. The event will be held at the Seminole County Animal Services Shelter

There will be a free First Time HomeBuyer Workshop on Saturday, July 23, hosted by GoldenRule Housing & Community Development Corporation a 501(c)(3) HUD approved Housing Counseling Agency.
