My eczema is not getting better. Hmm. I’m not sure why oso, I try to stay out of the sun, avoid sweating but I think it’s the fact that I wear shorts or skirts that makes me vulnerable to itch and scratching, so I’m not helping myself. I’ve used almost half the bottle of Evening Primrose Oil, it’s good for maintenance, which means, if my eczema is under control, just wana calm the skin, rid the dryness and scaliness, can use. And it works. But once my skin flares up and gets wet, it’s not effective. I’ve run out of steroidal cream so I’m thinking, it’s either change to Kukui Nut Oil or go back to see Dr Loke. Urgh to the latter.
Calendula Oil has been proven to work on my skin, I’ve gotton rid of eczema patches on my back and waist purely from calendula but it’s slightly expensive. Kukui Nut Oil also promises to help people with skin issues. It comes from Hawaii but until recently received little spotlight. The Hawaiians use it to protect against the sun, salt water and windburn.
Also known as Candlenut, organic Kukui Nut Oil contains vitamin A and E and is very high in oleic acid (omega 9), linoleic acid (omega 6) and alpha linoleic acid (omega 3). All anti-oxidants so keeps skin looking younger. It’s very similar to Rosehip Oil. The skin readily absorbs oil and retains moisture, regular usage can reduce fine lines and wrinkles so this is also good for post-pregnancy bodies, to reduce and lighten stretch marks. Only problem is it’s short shelf life but then again, looking at the way I use oils, that’s no cause for concern.
I think I will try this oil instead, no harm but The Mountain Rose Herbs is currently out of stock of this oil. Shipping will cost a bit as well cause it’s heavy but Dr Loke will cost more. And I prefer to go organic. O well. In the meantime, I need to keep my long pants on so I won’t scratch and aggravate the eczema patches on my joints.
